Free publications about the UK

The Press & Public Affairs section offers the following free publications to school children, teachers, students, professionals and journalists in the Netherlands seeking general or specific information about Britain. All publications are in English.

You may e-mail your request to the information officer at ukinnl@fco.gov.uk. Please be sure to include your name, address, telephone number and the full names of the publications you would like to receive. If you are ordering a product that is marked "for school teachers only" please include the name of the school where you work. We regret to inform you that we will only be able to send publications within the Netherlands. Processing your request for free publications can take up to 10 working days.

We can send you a maximum of five publications free of charge. Should you require more than this we ask you to arrange collection from the Embassy. Please e-mail the information officer for further details.

To download publications you will need to have Adobe Reader installed on your computer, which you can download from www.adobe.com free of charge.

!nspire and In-City offer a colourful range of folders and booklets on a variety of British topics:

In-City
As the name suggests, In-City looks at all aspects of life in the capitals of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Sharp, interesting photographs and manageable text describes life in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast.

It is only possible to download the In-City publications online. They are not available in hard copy.

British culture is the inspiration for our !nspire series:

Please do not forget that we can send you a maximum of five publications or one standard information pack free of charge. If you would like more than this we ask you to collect them from the Embassy yourself. We can only send publications to addresses within the Netherlands. If you are residing somewhere other than in the Netherlands, please contact your local British Embassy
