The Communications team is the public face of the embassy providing information to the press, government departments, schools and universities and the general public. The team runs an annual programme of public diplomacy work, to inform and engage individuals and organisations in the Netherlands, in order to improve understanding of the UK and help deliver the UK’s strategic objectives in the Netherlands.

Our activities include arranging press briefings, placing articles and arranging interviews and press conferences for VIPs visiting the Netherlands.  We provide specific services for journalists and teachers and students and are responsible for this web site which has a wealth of information about the UK.

The Communications team is supported by a wide range of press and information services from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in London. The texts of FCO press releases, including ministerial speeches, are available on the FCO web site.  We also provide information about the British Satellite News (BSN) and London Press Service.
